Description:

Ever wanted to write your own song but didn’t know where to start? In this hands-on songwriting class, you’ll learn how to craft lyrics, melodies, and structure using creative techniques used by artists like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. By the end of the weekend, you’ll walk away with a written and recorded original song.

Taught by Michael Lee Brown and Luke Oliver.

About Michael and Luke…

Michael is a professional performer and songwriter with music on all streaming platforms and songs premiered on Billboard. Michael’s performance background spans leading Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, television and live concerts, and he has worked and shared the stage with artists such as Ben Platt and Jordan Fisher. His teaching style combines industry experience with creativity, collaboration, and real-world tools.

Luke is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer studying music and music production through Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) and Berklee College of Music. His work spans songwriting, recording, arranging, and live performance, with a passion for taking raw ideas and turning them into fully produced, release-ready songs. Luke brings a hands-on, industry-driven approach to teaching, helping artists unlock creativity, build confidence, and connect lyrics, melody, and production using techniques from today’s music industry.
