The foundation of all performing is acting! Even when you are dancing or singing, the ability to truthfully, accurately, and skillfully tell a story is crucial to your success. It is very important to have a strong acting technique that you can regularly practice and strengthen, just as you would do with an instrument or singing and dancing. It is something that a lot of students don’t pay enough attention to and should!
Using Meisner and Stanislavski acting techniques, among other tricks of the trade used by the industry’s top professionals, Michael will help guide you on your journey to becoming a more educated and seasoned performer. Each week through exercises and scene study, you will learn what it takes to be the best actor you can be, and you will be putting your newly learned skills into practice by working on and performing scenes from various plays.
This will be a fun and fulfilling experience of learning and growing as professional performers, among other supportive peers with the same goal. Let’s have a great time, focus on the art of acting, and put on a fantastic show together!
This will be held from January-April with 3 rehearsals per month. See full rehearsal schedule below. A performance will be held on Friday, April 9th at 7:30PM.
