A Cappellas 

A Cappella Group will focus on strengthening creativity and musicality, with students harmonizing in a variety of musical styles without accompaniment! This singing group will cover pop, classical, and alternative music in a fun, engaging environment with other enthusiastic singers. Students will learn how to hold parts, blend, & balance in an A Cappella group.
A desire to strengthen vocal technique through breathing and vocal exercises is emphasized, and originality is encouraged!
 
·Dates: Wednesdays, February 7th - March 21st (no class March 14th)
· Ages: 8-14 (BY INVITATION ONLY) NPAC will send an invitation via E-mail by December 1st. Please accept/decline the invitation.
· Time: 7-8PM
· Price: $270
· Materials: Students should bring to each session: a pencil, a 3-ring binder for music, and a refillable water bottle. 

I'm a STAR

I'm a STAR is a musical theater program for people with physical and mental disabilities. The program will have seasonal breaks during the year just like NPAC's JuniorStage & MainStage. Spring 2018 rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm. The Spring 2018 season starts February 20th and ends on April 10th 2018. Stars will be taught choreography, acting, vocal training, confidence on stage and team building. Further, NPAC is excited to be able to provide our STARS with performance opportunities throughout the year. Performance dates will be announced during the season. This one-of-a-kind program has a small fee of $25 for new students. (You do not have to pay if you have already paid this fee in the previous seasons)

·Showcase: Saturday, April 14th at 2PM

(If you are enrolled in dance this Fall you do not have to re-enroll for Spring as it will just carry the student over to the Spring season automatically)

Music Theory

Learn the basics of music theory in a class geared towards singers. This class will begin with basics required to read sheet music, including rhythmic notation as well as melodic dictation. Students will learn definitions of musical symbols, harmonizing essentials, and key signature identification. This class is meant for beginning students and will move at a fast pace. Students will leave with the ability to read and fully understand sheet music, as well as aurally identify melodic material. This class will progress every session so students will have the opportunity to advance with each semester.

Broadway Studio

Specifically tailored for performers’ ages 8 through 14 who participate in musical theatre! Have a blast rehearsing original musicals while perfecting your musical theatre skills! Each actor will learn how to audition, create a character, work memorization, and put on a show. Work on stage presence and performance while perfecting characterization! This studio class will allow the student to learn all aspects of musical theatre while focusing on the fundamentals of performing! 
 
·Dates: Thursday February 8th- March 22nd(No class March 15th)
· Ages: 8-14
· Time: 6:00-6:45PM

Kids On Camera

Kids On-Camera is an audition technique oriented class for the emerging artist. Whether you have recently participated in an audition or are actively seeking one, this workshop teaches you everything you need to know about on-camera auditions. Get the inside scoop on what to expect when you walk into the audition room. Learn how to prepare talent industry auditions. You even get to practice with MOCK AUDITIONS! Students will be introduced to several vital industry resources with information on auditions, technique, and headshots. 
 
·Dates: Saturdays, January 13-March 3rd(No class January 27th or February 3rd)
· Ages: 8-14
· Time: 3:15-4:00PM 
· Price: $270

Adults On-Camera Audition Tech

Students who have zero to very limited experience on-camera, and/or no film acting training. Class entails Understanding the dos and don'ts of on-camera acting, the technical aspect of film and TV acting, Audition Techniques, Improvisation, Scene and Monologue Study etc. Sharpen your skills by learning a technique that will garner MORE CALL BACKS and set you apart from most actors. 6 weeks of on-camera audition technique! The final class will consist of Mock Auditions.

· Ages: 17 & Up
